Nursery Workers - Boring and Canby, Oregon

We are seeking nursery workers for our Boring and Canby, Oregon area farms. Job duties would include all aspects of growing and harvesting deciduous shade and flowering trees. This job requires the ability to stoop, bend, twist, and crouch for prolonged periods of time in fields; requires standing/walking for 8-10 hours; and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over uneven, muddy ground. Work environment will be primarily outside in all weather conditions. Full -time positions with company benefits. Entry level nursery worker wages start at $12.75 per hour. Sales/Customer Service Lead – Boring, Oregon

Join us in greening the planet! We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated person for our Inside Sales and Customer Service Lead position. The ideal candidate will possess green industry experience and familiarity with bare root trees. As Inside Sales Lead, your responsibilities will include daily contact with customers and collaboration with our customer service, marketing, and production teams. You will support four outside sales representatives in achieving their regional sales goals for our full product line of bare root, container, and B&B shade, flowering and ornamental trees.

Reporting to the Sales Manager and based at our Boring, Oregon, headquarters, the Inside Sales and Customer Service Lead is also tasked with motivating the inside sales team, proposing sales and marketing programs and implementing process efficiencies geared toward continuous improvement.  A strong team work ethic, a customer-centric mentality and proven leadership and motivational skills are key to success in this supporting role for one of North America’s leading providers of urban trees. Grower - Boring, Oregon

We are seeking a full-time grower with experience in tree production. Applicant must be fluent in English, both reading and writing, and have proven supervisory/management skills. Any Spanish is a plus. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and quality driven, honest, a team player, trustworthy, and possess a high work ethic standard. Five plus years of horticultural education and/or work-related experience is preferred. Moving and/or housing assistance may be available. Valid driver’s license required. Shop Mechanic - Canby, Oregon

We are seeking a self-motivated mechanic to help in our repair shop located in Canby, Oregon. Applicant must have valid Oregon driver’s license and an insurable driving record and ability to assist other mechanics in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, tractors, and implements. Must have good communication and organizational skills. Must be aware of and practice safety in the workplace. Must be able to handle and carry objects up to 50 lbs. We are seeking an individual to operate farm equipment at our container tree nursery in Boring, Oregon. The primary equipment is a tractor and forklift, although other machinery will be used occasionally. Other farm work will be required when no equipment operation work is available. Candidate must be able to communicate in Spanish and have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work independently and meet all safety requirements. Mechanical ability and/or English are pluses. Any additional experience in welding and/or fabrication will be beneficial but not required, as well as familiarity with diverse farm/nursery implements. Candidate will have good communication and organizational skills as well as being aware of and practicing safety in the workplace. Must be able to handle and carry objects up to 80 lbs. Journeyman Mechanic – Boring, Oregon

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Journeyman Mechanic to join the team in our repair shop located in Boring, Oregon. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and assist other mechanics in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, tractors, forklifts, farm equipment and implements for a large variety of repairs, diagnosis and general service and upkeep. Required experience: General Service, Gasoline/Diesel/LPG Engine Repair and Diag., Clutch/Transmission and associated component replacement (Tractor and Vehicles), Brake systems (Hydraulic and Air), Heavy Equipment Repair and Service including drive systems, Electrical Systems and wiring, Hydraulic systems and cylinders, some level of experience with farm equipment. Any additional experience in welding and/or fabrication is a plus, as well as familiarity with diverse farm/nursery implements or tire repair and replacement on vehicles/tractors. Candidate will have good communication and organizational skills, be highly motivated and goal oriented as well as being aware of and practicing safety in the workplace. Candidate must also possess knowledge of electronic diagnostic equipment and be open to further training and use of electronic data and labor management software platforms. The ability to maintain accurate records by recording service and repairs completed with parts and product usage is vital to the position. Must be able to handle and carry objects up to 80 lbs. We maintain a drug-free workplace. This is a full-time position with excellent company Benefits. Work hours are 40+ hours per week and are conducted inside of a shop but may require outdoor work in potentially inclement conditions out in the fields of the nursery at times.
