A very cold hardy selection of Katsura introduced by the North Dakota State research foundation. The tree has survived without damage in USDA Zone 3 at -37 °F. The foliage emerges a deep bronze color and the changes to blue green through the growing season until turning an apricot yellow in the early fall. Early fall dormancy helps with its winter hardiness.
