Puget Gold apricot is a cold-hardy, late-blooming variety developed for the cool, wet spring conditions of the Pacific Northwest. It produces medium to large, sweet, orange fruit with a firm texture that ripens in mid to late summer and is excellent for fresh eating and preserves. The tree is self-fertile and has a strong resistance to late frosts and disease. Puget Gold requires approximately 600–700 chilling hours.
