Brian started at J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. in the fall of 2022. He has worked in the horticulture industry for most of his adult life. Most recently, as a tree and shrub buyer for a retail nursery in western Washington for almost twenty years. Before that, as a sales associate for another retail nursery in central California. Brian’s years working with so many knowledgeable nursery-folk has fostered great respect for the industry. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Brian has always had a deep appreciation for the natural world and all the plants growing in it. When not working at Schmidt, he can be found puttering around one of his local garden centers looking for new plants, and trying to figure out where he could possibly put them.
